Tigre is a restaurant and bar inspired by traditional Buenos Aires cafes, “parrillas” and neighborhood bistros or “bodegones”, while taking notes from American cuisine and Miami’s emblematic mix of cultural influences.

Slated to open its doors early winter, the indoor-outdoor property features over 100 ft of breezeway waterfront seating. Tigre also hosts a fresh fish market, La Pescadería where patrons and food lovers can purchase the same fresh seafood used in the restaurant’s signature dishes, to cook at home.

Tigre is a concept created by three Argentinian friends with one goal in common: bringing a new vision of Argentine cuisine and hospitality to Miami. Chef and TV personality Deborah de Corral is the mind and the heart behind the food . Eduardo Suarez, founder and designer of Shelter Pizza, Rosarito Fish Shack, El Almacén (Williamsburg , NY) and Casa Florida (Miami), is responsible for development and design. While Marcos Chantres, former manager of The Dutch restaurant at the W Hotel, and Director of Operations for Bar Lab, creators of 27, Broken Shaker & The Anderson, among others, is Food & Beverage Director.

Why Tigre? Tigre, an emblematic town by the river just minutes north of Buenos Aires City is a favorite spot for locals to escape from city life. Wooden houses with Victorian era British flare, waterfront decks and wild gardens full of Litoral native flora and fauna make this sleepy town unique and magical. Also one of the partners, Deborah, happens to be a native of Tigre! As soon as she saw the property with its huge deck by the water she was immediately taken back to long summer weekends spent fishing by the river sipping ice cold "mate" under an orange tree.

Tigre's menu features an array of small plates, many of them based on Argentinian classics with a contemporary elevated approach, a good amount of vegetable forward dishes and a variety of perfectly grilled meats and seafood. Their full bar specializes in aperitifs and original handcrafted cocktails, in addition to a carefully curated wine list highlighting exquisite Argentine wines.

A closer look at Tigre’s menu reveals familiar influences from South American regional cuisines and Argentine deep rooted traditions, blended with local ingredients and a hint of Floridian flare. Tigre prides themselves with sourcing the best products local farms and vendors have to offer with a strong focus on seasonal ingredients.

“I love spices and I’m always after that balance between bold flavors, freshness and contrast in texture, letting the ingredients shine while allowing myself to be creative and push boundaries. My aim is to stimulate your palate and your mind, even surprise you if I can ... but my ultimate goal is to uplift your spirit and make you happy. Real food is about real emotional connection,” shares Deborah.

Tigre is not just about dining, it’s also about cultivating community, bringing a calm atmosphere just steps away from one of Miami’s busiest intersections. With different spaces, and a welcoming staff, Tigre is both the perfect place to unwind after a long day, sip a gin cocktail by the river at sunset; and to host a massive "asado" for your birthday.

Located on 620 NE 78th Street, Tigre will open its doors this winter.
