Las Nubes Share “Tired of Trying” Video

This is their first release after performing as Iggy Pop’s backing band in December.

2019 was an eventful year for Las Nubes, they released their debut album called SMVT, they were named “Best Band 2019” by Miami New Times, and they played as Iggy Pop's backing band at Gucci's showcase during Art Basel. After the holiday break they are back with a new video for their single "Tired of Trying" and announced dates for their first Mexico and West Coast Tour.

Las Nubes’ undeniably catchy songs transition from melancholy dream pop to blistering punk rock as easily as their lyrics do from English to Spanish. The fuzz-worshipping power trio is composed by Ale Campos (guitar/vocals), Nina Carolina (bass/vocals), and Emile Milgrim (drums), along with rotating live members Steph Taylor (The State Of), Gabriel Duque (Zeta), and Cuci Amador (Afrobeta). Although Las Nubes is a relatively new band, they have quickly become one of South Florida’s most beloved bands - a distinction they’ve earned through hard work and infectious hooks.

"This song is for anyone who’s ever had a hard time waking up, thinking of someone who doesn’t think of them as much. A love song for their depression that acknowledges when things feel wrong. It’s an acceptance of emptiness to help them triumph over their insecurities." - Ale Campos

Watch the video for "Tired of Trying" below, shot and edited by band member Gabriel Duque. The video was filmed during Las Nubes last tour, and it shows the band exploring the mystic city of New Orleans.

ABOUT LAS NUBES

The band’s debut album, SMVT, released via the SRR Label in summer 2019, and has retained constant momentum through rigorous promotion, engaging social media, one-off events, and multiple tours. To date, Las Nubes has shared stages with Shannon And The Clams, Jens Lekman, The Coathangers, Sheer Mag, Mark Sultan, Torche, and more. Most recently, they were invited to perform as Iggy Pop’s backing band for a GUCCI x Snap event celebrating the debut of Harmony Korine’s 3D short film Duck Duck in December 2019 during Miami Art Week.
