FK Irons Celebrates the Wonder Women of Tattooing

From left to right: Nina Sun, Yesy Gonzalez, Sarah Miller, Lena Diamanti, Lulu Medina

This March FK Irons shines the spotlight on some of the real-life heroes that push boundaries and champion their craft. From industry legends such as Sarah Miller, to up-and-coming talents like Nina Sun; from realism masters like Yesy Gonzalez, to color alchemists with the skills of Lena Diamanti and Lulu Medina, the Wonder Women of Tattoing Campaign celebrates the work of all women in the tattoo world that put their gloves on and get to work all year long.

Talent, commitment, and tenacity are some of the keys to getting the job done, but that doesn’t mean that there can be no fun! That’s why FK Irons invited some of their Pro Team Members to create their own interpretation of their superhero, bringing the Wonder Women of Tattooing campaign to life, during a dashing photoshoot in Miami.

Sarah, Nina, Yesy, Lena, and Lulu will reunite during the Villain Arts Chicago Tattoo Convention (March 17-19), on what will be FK Iron’s first all-female Pro Team lineup. There will also be giveaways and special treats for the convention attendees.

As part of the month-long online and offline activations, FK is releasing the limited edition Wonder Collection featuring the new PowerBolt II with all Exo, Flux, and Flux Max machines, in a striking red, gold, and blue design.

With this campaign, FK Irons aims to celebrate the work of not only their Pro Team members but of all women that tap into their power and create ink wonders on the skin.

ABOUT THE WONDER WOMEN OF TATTOOING

Lena has overcome several obstacles and pit stops on her journey to realize her dream of turning her artistic passions into a career. At the age of 25, she pursued it tattooing full time and now has more than 7 years of professional experience. In that time, she has established herself as an elite artist, cultivating a global following and specializing in full-color realism with surrealism with nuances of other styles. Originally from Greece, she is now based in the U.S.

Lulu is a tattoo artist specializing in color and realism, with more than 6 years of professional experience in the industry. From creating murals on the walls of her childhood home to draing ‘tattoos’ in markers on her friends in school to her love for other creative avenues – photography, graphic design and street art – Lulu’s artistic spirits runs deep.

Nina believes that tattoos are more than just ink on skin. They are creative pieces of art that reflect pieces of a person’s life story. Known as ‘The Jade Tyger’ she is among a new generation of artists pushing the craft forward. With 3 years of professional tattoo experience, it only takes one look at her artistry to see that her skill exceeds far beyond that.

Sarah Miller is an international award-winning tattoo artist with more than 17 years of professional experience. Specializing in color realism and illustration, her artistic background in painting is often seen in her captivating portrait pieces. She was the first female finalist of Ink Master, finishing runner-up of Season 2, and returning for seasons 7 and 12.

Yesy is an immensely talented tattoo artist based in Houston, TX and frequently traveling to tattoo conventions with a reputation as an award-winning powerhouse. Her signature style transcends genres – specializing in both black and grey and color, and incorporating a range of styles, including realism, surrealism and original designs.
