The Miami based trio bring us the first taste in 2018 of their singular indie-rock style.
Tremends return with a new single and video, “Now We Know”. The music is a groovy, danceable track with a distinct Miami tone and musical winks at such bands as The Police and Soda Stereo. The single comes at the heels for a busy live season for the band, having played at several open air festivals in late 2017 including III Points, House Of Creatives, and Transatlantic Fest.
With the track comes a music video, completely in black and white and making use of many double exposures and plays of light.
Tremends was formed by Alejo Rozas (drum/vocals) in 2011. After writing a couple of songs and coming up with the band name, Rozas was joined by brother Juan Rozas (guitar/lead vocal) and Alex Posada (bass/vocals) in 2012. The influence of the band’s Hispanic roots is sewn through their album, and is showcased through bilingual lyrics.
The band has experienced considerable growth in the last few years, and are now considered a staple in the Miami rock and indie scene, with an uncountable amount of gigs and festival appearances over the last 5 years.
Tremends is currently being managed by Gummdrops, an independent label and management company based in Miami that focuses on local acts. Gummdrops is also releasing the single “Now We Know”.
